Was wondering if anyone has noticed if the tuning on their radio is not great. I do understand that this kind of thing has a bunch of external factors. I have the mid package (No HD radio) and it seems that I am constantly picking up static for stations that I normally listen to. I am only comparing this to my others cars and past experience where I just don't have any issues.

With the size of the antenna I would have thought that I would pick up satellite communications. :)

Maybe loosen and re-attach your antenna. I think someone said it's kinda designed to maximize AM over FM or something like that, but something doesn't sound right either. What you describe is what I would expect from shorty antennas.

That is what I it was feeling like. As if had a shorty antenna. I am going to give reinstallation a try. Going to see what the difference is without and after reinstallation.

It is still not great after reinstalling. It is connected to the head unit. Lost stations when it was gone. Maybe a different whip will do something else. It is not that big of a deal, just something that I noticed. Wondered if any others observed the same thing.

I have noticed the same thing on mine. I have a high package (don’t think there’s any HD). I do get more static than in other cars. I’ve recently found car play + Spotify is pretty amazing for what it’s worth.

I just don't get what is wrong with it. It is as if the radio is picking up more than what it should be. Or not locking onto the intended signal (I hear voices.. muh ha ha haaa). Ford is supposed to have an exceptional radio. From what I understand they have certain standards that are to be met. Even better than average AM radio.

I have checked the following:
Removed the antenna to establish if the antenna is in fact connected. It is.
Bought new antenna to see if there was something wrong with my factory one. There is not.
Monitored the frequency levels with the onboard diags. Anything with an exceptionally strong signal it seems to be ok. Anything with a moderate signal 30 to 40(issue).

Non of my other cars have this problem. Obviously they are all in the same coverage area, and have way smaller antennas. Going talk to the dealer about this when I schedule the car to get the rear windows adjusted since I can't seem to get the rear indexing to set properly myself.

I've had issues on other vehicles with electrical interference. One time it came down to changing the spark plugs and wires.

Hi there! Can you send us a DM with more information? I’ll see how I can assist on my end. Thanks!

Ugh.. Sooooo frustrated. My dealership said that they can't reproduce this and now I am told to go to another dealer. This is some kind of ground or something... I don't know. I just wanted to spend money on a new car. Not spend time chasing this down.

Forgot to follow up on this....

This was reproduced by the dealer and there is a Ford customer experience specialist on it with a case number. What was reproduced is when the windows go up or down, the radio gets static (including indexing). I am guessing there is more than just the window motors causing static, but that is what was easily reproduced. Dealer said it was happening on multiple broncos at the dealership. Dealer also mentioned that we probably have to wait for more people to come forward with this issue for Ford to look into it. idk.... I feel like this should not happen with a new car. At least it doesn't happen with carplay.

Not sure why my previous video is not showing, so here is a new one showing the window going up and the static on the radio when it happens.

I think I’m having the same issue, and I have Lux package. The signal just doesn’t seem as strong or as clear as my other vehicles. Did you DM @Ford Motor Company ?

The only thing the dealer told me is to have people note it with the dealer and Ford.
Just sucks... since I love this car and enjoying the radio is a big part of the driving experience for me. Lucky it's only the AM/FM transmission that is affected. Listening to the radio through cap play works.
