So I wouldn’t say that I’m qualified to write a ”review” per se due to not having them long but I’ll give my initial thoughts. I have used Rally Armor mud flaps on many different vehicles I’ve owned (Tacoma x2, Civic, CrossTrek, and Fit). Don’t judge, I’ve personally had an infatuation with Japanese cars throughout my life so that’s all I ever bought. On to the mud flaps.…. I knew when i got the Bronco that I wanted to get some Rally Armor mud flaps but at first glance, they weren’t available but I had seen that they were in development. I guess I missed the alert email from a week or 2 ago but I was just browsing for parts when I said “I wonder if they were available yet?”. To my surprise, they were and I ordered them right away. I got them in about 3-4 days after ordering and they arrived in their familiar black box covered in a black shipping bag.

In side you will find a clear plastic bag as pictured above and inside of it you’ll find all of your necessary parts, brackets, flaps, nuts and bolt. (Pictured below)

I opted for the black metallic logo as they didn’t have a silver color and I wasn’t fond of the orange or blue.

These do not, as advertised, require any drilling or modification to your Bronco which is something I had expected from Rally Armor as that has been the case with all of their mod flaps in the past.

You’ll see pictured (above), the brackets. These are used to attach the rear mud flaps to, in my case, the rear plastic bumper. I attempted to get 2 good pictures (below) of how they attach so I’ll do my best to explain it. The rear portion attaches using two brackets that join together. One is attached to the bumper (the one using the 2 factory bolts) and the other is attached to that brackets using 3 nuts, 3 washers, and 3 bolts. On that larger bracket there are 3 welded in place bolts and the larger bracket is also used to get the correct angle (up and down) in line with your fenders and the mud flaps themselves have larger holes to get the right angle (left and right) to be perpendicular with the ground.

PRO TIP: My suggestion to those installing these in the future is to attach the two brackets loosely together and then attach the rear bracket to the bumper.

My thoughts and opinions are that they were as I expected in that they are Rally Armor mud flaps (meaning they install basically like all the others I’ve had), they function as intended and they look great! I assume that in the future they plan on offering the bottom, flexible portion as a standalone item but I’ve not heard anything about that. My reason for even buying these wasn’t exactly for mudding per se but rather for rocks that inevitably get lodged into my tires from my driveway and the road I live on. The few times I have gone from my rocky road to the pavement I no longer hear the dinging from the rocks hitting my steps or door but rather a quiet thud of them hitting the mud flaps. A+, 5 stars, and a thumbs up for literally doing just that. I do recommend them and would purchase them again.

@GunBoxTherapy - fantastic write-up with great details and photo! I have had Rally Armor mudflaps on previous vehicles and some of the install tips you mention will definitely help new buyers (y)

I also installed the Rally Armor mud flaps. Great protection. Very good quality components. The Bronco already has chips in the paint on the doors from flying stones. I also tow a small enclosed trailer. The trailer was getting covered in road grime from the rear tires before the mud flaps.

How're these holding up for you?

I saw the style to accommodate the rock rails or steps have a hole in the front. Does much gunk come in from there?

I'd be interested in hearing from @GunBoxTherapy too if he still visits here.

I'm very happy with the mud flaps. They seem to provide excellent protection. Not much comes through the cut-outs for the rock rails.

This picture shows that there isn't any mud splashing up from the front tires. Only mist that will billow around still ends up on the doors.

I haven't yet towed my enclosed trailer since putting on the flaps. I did tow once this Winter before adding the flaps. The trailer was covered in road grime from the rear wheels. I would expect the flaps will help that issue tremendously.

Thanks! I have OEM steps instead of the rock rails, but that looks promising! I imagine the design is extremely similar.

@Haelous

Concerning that clearance hole for the front mud flaps. I personally haven’t noticed anything except for a slight amount of muddy water from the road get through. I’ve not been in any mud with my Bronco.

For me and the purpose I got these flaps (side protection from rocks) they get the job done and I haven’t heard or seen rocks hit my doors or the OEM side steps since installing them. I would imagine though that some mud may seep through that hole but I wouldn’t think it would be near as much as would get on the entire door without the flaps.
