I have a wild track on order and pretty much convinced I’m unlikely to see it until this time next year…maybe….saw on Reddit bronco page that someone was selling one in my hometown and immediately drove to the dealership. This order fell through due to the order holder not being able to qualify for financing. Going to lift it and put 35’s and hope to sell it for what I paid for it once mine comes in. Just pumped I finally have one after waiting so long!

Haven’t read the entire thread…sorry if this was asked already. How did you get off the lot without the front license plate bracket? I’ve asked my dealer not to put it on, and they have been pretty insistent about adding it.

Also, congrats on the new ride! I have a place at Canyon Lake, and hope to see you someday in the area.

I told the dealer I didnt want it on. I've had a few sports cars and have never put one on and never had an issue. Id rather pay the ticket than put it on. Looks like crap.

What’s the plan for your original reservation? Had you switched it to a soft top already?

Keeping my original reservation with the MIC top and once it does come in I will sell this one. After driving this one a few things I do know. I dont want a standard...just too much of a pain where I live. I also want the hardtop. I have had convertibles before so the soft top is nice but I plan to really only drive this to the beach and go on a few trails around here so the wind noise over 60 is pretty noticeable.

it blows my mind that people are reserving cars that they don't know how they are going to pay for once they arrive. I wonder if this is mostly people ordering more car than they can really afford, or just people who have no business trying to finance a 30-60k car to begin with.

I get circumstances can change in a year, but those are outliers and these stories are too common for that to be the scenario every time.

Good job to you though, you clearly win in this situation

Ive been saying this is going to happen a lot, once these cars start being delivered all those minimum wage workers who ordered a $60,000 car wont be taking delivery of their orders. Honestly I think for 2022 once should have proof that they can afford the vehicle before ordering and limit reservations to one per person until orders get caught up.
