It seems to me that my rear struts have bit the dust. started noticing it around 54km, very bad now at 57km. stock badlands suspension, stock 33" tires. Minimal towing, under 2000lbs, once a month maybe.. The odd dirt road when going camping. Other than that its mostly been highway driven.

Anybody else having/had these issues?

Waiting to hear back from the dealer. I don't feel comfortable driving on the highway anymore.

Similar driving to you and my driver's side rear blew out just under 42k (out of warranty), I'll let you do the conversion cuz well... 'Merica 😁

But yeah, bit of a let down. Just replaced it over this past weekend, easy job.

I heard back today. Appointment this Friday. It sounds like warranty will cover this. Still seams very early for the struts to go..

The factory shocks on my fathers F150 were shot by 40k miles. Granted it hauled some heavy loads of rock and some trailers full of dirt and rock…

Still wouldn’t expect it to happen that fast on something new

Still seems quick on the F150. I guess sometimes people get the short end of the stick...

Sasquatch package shocks are dropping their reservoirs too...
You know what they say, "At Ford, quality is problem #1!"

just had mine bite it. had to slam on my brakes to avoid a collision and after that, it was bouncing all over the place. dealer just called and said the rear struts are done for. wouldn't have expected that at 61K miles but hey, i wouldn't have expected a leaky roof either, considering the price paid. oh well.

It's not unusual to need shocks or struts any time after 50,000 mile (31,000 km) folks.

50k Miles is equal to around 80k KM :)
mine went around 30k Miles (50k KM)

Most people recommend replacement between 50-100k miles - so I do agree. Yet I've had vehicles go over 150k miles and still have good struts. Just surprised that they went so early.

It's covered under warranty, so I can't complain too much. Not a fan of having a rental again

What world do you live in?

Had '84, '93, '94 Broncos. Only shocks ever replaced were on the '84 that I put a 4" lift kit on and needed different shocks. (All 3 went over 200k miles).

2012 Mustang w/ 236k miles when I sold it, NEVER changed a strut.

2008 Elantra (traded in at 108k miles), never needed new struts/shocks.

Any vehicle I've owned, have never needed to replace unless I was upgrading. 🤷‍♂️

So I'm curious, in what world is 50k miles normal for a shock or strut to go?

It's definitely not that crazy depending on how it's used and the environment. Dust and dirt can tear up seals. Heck, bad washboard roads can work a shock so hard that they melt the seals out in just a few miles. You may not have ever needed to change shocks on your vehicles, but I would bet that their performance had significantly degraded after 100k miles. Leaks aren't the only reason to change a shock, and they can look fine but perform like garbage.
