Very risky like mentioned above, if we were to recommend any portable spring compressor, it would be something like this unit. We use these in the desert tuning race cars. Using an impact gun will help the process.
Thanks for posting what you found to work. That tool looks Great!! Well worth the investment.
I purchased a tool from Vevor that broke after 1 of my coil-overs. I don't recommend the tool I used. It might have been OK if using them on a Honda Civic, but not a Ford Bronco with perch collars.

I used an Amazon one on my 5100 install. The threaded rods started to bend just as I got the fronts compressed enough, scary. Thankfully that's over.

I’ll stick to the wall mounted Branick. I’ve got lots of cool ways to die, but a spring through the heads not one of them.
