I had the wire to the rear defogger release from the glass. Dealer replaced glass but somehow forgot to install the seal at the base of the glass. They are saying the old window is still on hand so they will remove seal from that and install to my new glass. it appears to be installed with adhesive. Seems like a new seal would be called for, am I right?

According to the WSM, the seal is just attached to the bottom of the glass. Doesn't show adhesive at all, so it would get reused as long as there's nothing wrong with it.

I noticed the gap few days back after my rear glass was replaced a month back, will take it back to the dealer to get the gap closed.
