My wife received her 2 door Black Diamond from Dirt Mountain last week. Today she said it was leaking from roof on driver side. I looked around and notice that the L shaped latch on the driver's side is shorter then the one on the passenger side. It barely latches. It looks the same size as the latches that are on the side over the door. Can someone with a 2 door hardtop take a look at their latches and see if her latch is correct? Are they supposed to be the same size? Thanks.

I'm in a 4 door, but I checked anyway. Something off there, friend. All of my latches have a good inch of engagement.

Report that to the dealer.

Take the tops off, and put them back on yourself being very careful to follow the instructions.

Also - while the tops are off, check to make sure the bolts for the clamshell are installed correctly.

I bet you get them aligned right when you reinstall the t tops.

Worth a shot, but there are alignment pins to make sure it all lines up. Hmmm.

I went and measured the latches which I should have done before. The driver side latch is 1/2 inch shorter than passenger side. Maybe quarter inch of engagement.

Saw this post last night while I was in bed. Too lazy to go look. Just remembered and took a look.

You are correct, they assembled it with the wrong latch. Used one of the outer short ones.

Sorry for the poor photo. It's dark in my garage.

There's no way to align them wrong
