Hey friends new to the site. Looks like a great one with lots of great knowledge to be had. With that being said.
My wife and I are looking are purchasing a roof rack system for the rig. It would just be too good one kayak. She would like to be able to still remove the front two panels of possible. Not looking for something that will break the bank either. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the same boat (ahem). I'm getting a rear half rack and looking for cross bar that ties into the windshield mounts so I can easily remove the front and middle panels. It's rediculous that the factory rack makes it difficult to remove the front panels, and impossible(?) to remove the middle panel.

I think a simple a single cross bar in the back and bar on the winshield mounted to the accessory points would be plenty for a light kayak. There are a lot of options for the rear...

I'm looking at this for the front:
MoTLEY Overhead Light Rail, 47-7/8 Inches – motleyindustries
