I’m looking to get some tie downs to use as anchor points for strapping things to my roof rack. I saw RCI makes some specific for their racks (linked below). They’re substantially more expensive than the generic ring t-slot anchors I’ve seen on Amazon. Are they likely worth the cost premium, or is would I just be paying for the name at that point? They seem like they achieve the same thing, though the RCI ones look to attach to the side of the crossbar instead of the top (though I don’t know if that’s better or not).

You can achieve the same thing with some Amazon T slot or aluminum extrusion inserts and some matching-thread stainless eye bolts.
Total cost probably $20-25
I get the 1/4-20 sized stuff and it has worked just fine so far for me.
It's not like you need overkill stuff that would survive a trip to orbit and back.

It’s not the straps I’m looking for, actually. I’m trying to figure out what’s the best anchor points to attach the straps to. Thanks for the suggestion, though. 😀
