Thanks for sharing, I got this deal, actually! For some reason it wouldn't let me add installation to the order. So, now I have a box with a vault in it and a Bronco without a Vault in it... Looking for installation videos when I ran across this thread. :D

Thanks! I buy these from Lockerdown usually but they don't have one available yet. Has anyone bought the vault for the "rear under floor"? They don't have it on this site, was hoping for a better deal.

For those of you that have never owned an open air vehicle, these hidden safes are invaluable. I had under seat in my wranglers, more valuable than just for those of us carrying. Whenever you're at the beach you can put wallet, phone, keys etc inside with no worries.

I agree though I do worry about someone destroying my center console trying to open that safe. Sometimes I wonder if I just keep nothing of value in the car and everything unlocked so no damage is done to the vehicle

Petty thieves and kids generally just make a mess rifling through console and glove box. If there's something obvious they can see through the window they might break in for a snatch and grab, quickly escape. I don't see them taking the time to break apart a console to take a safe with them. They would have to know there was something very valuable inside. Just make sure you park in a well lit, higher traffic area and you should be okay.

Except when they see the locking vault, they DO KNOW there's something in there! Or should be....very torn. I love the idea of accessing it without using a key off the fob....but then wonder about exactly this, how determined will a thief be once they see the locks?

Really depends on the car. Mostly lose depth because you can still put stuff on top and close the console.

If there was room for some loose Cheeto's or french fries to camo the vault, that'd be great! lol
