Anyone ever experience a screen flickering when backing up? It was the whole main screen and only presented this issue when backing up. It was fine the whole drive listening to radio and viewing CarPlay. I took a video to show the dealer but curious to see if anyone else has seen this issue or had it diagnosed by their dealer. Happened once so far to me.

Hey, were you able to get this issue resolved? I have the same problem when shifted into reverse and now I get a horrible noise from the sound system as well.

Hey, were you able to get this issue resolved? I have the same problem when shifted into reverse and now I get a horrible noise from the sound system as well.
Hey Earl - I reached out to the ford motor company account through a private message and connected with their social media team. They requested a bunch of information and a preferred dealer. I’m currently in process of lining up warranty work already with my dealer so I just gave them a heads up and requested them to look at it. My best guess is it’s a grounding issue. It’s hard to say though. I’ll let you know once they do / don’t fix it.

I’m assuming your Bronco is under warranty as well and that you’ll be making a dealer visit too?

Hey, yeah it is still under warranty, but I don't feel like being without a vehicle for transportation. The issue just recently started. I was just hoping that it might be an over the air type of fix.

Hey, yeah it is still under warranty, but I don't feel like being without a vehicle for transportation. The issue just recently started. I was just hoping that it might be an over the air type of fix.
I’ve had great luck with getting rental vehicles or loaners for warranty repairs. I think it is dealer discretion though and also based on availability. I always ask nicely and am flexible in my timing.
I too got so excited that it would be an OTA fix given the Ford Motor Company account getting involved. No such luck from where I saw the conversation going. Feel free to give them a pm though if you want. They seemed to respond during business hours from my experience.

I’m not sure if the flickering screen and the static when you go in reverse are related. But a lot of us have had the static issue. One guy on this forum figured out that it only happens when you have the level screen on. I hope Ford eventually figures this out, but for now this is a workaround.

That’s interesting to know. I’ll have to double check to see if it happens when I turn the level screen on. I usually don’t have that screen up. I’ll report back.
