Hey guys need your advice. I swapped some back seats with someone yesterday and we snapped the stud coming out of the floor when tightening the middle section down. I will attach a picture for reference later. There isn’t enough thread left to thread on a nut. So right now the middle bracket is only being held down by one but vs two. Any advice guys?

Ouch. That sucks. I had my back seats out and in recently and didn't even contemplate that possibility. That's really unfortunate.

My first thought was welding, but that'd be complicated.

If you can get access to the underside of the floor where this stud existed, you could drill through and use a fastener from the top with a nut and washer underneath.

Of if there's enough material to drill and tap, that might be the solution if you can't get underneath.

Got a picture from underneath. Looks like it was pressed in. Wondering if I can punch it out from inside the Bronco.

Those are weld studs. They are welded in place, not pressed. It will take some work to try and pound them out.

Been talking to some guys at work and we are going to try and Drill it out from the top side. Then tap. Insert new larger bolt from bottom and place a nut on top.

we will have to file the broken stud downbefore starting to drill
