One other thing is Ford doesn't like having too many build combinations. I believe it was on the Fusion that they started cutting way back to save money and speed up production. Also why some things can only be bought in a package.
Yeah they have a few universal types but the rest are tight custom fit with all neccessary cutouts and the works.
I've not tried these...but depending on interior color scheme, I've thought about getting COVERCRAFT Carhartt Precision Fit. Anyone have experience with these???
I really don't get it. You pay 10's of thousands of dollars for a vehicle, debate every detail, including interior finish, then cover it up right away. Enjoy your matching, comfortable seats as long as you can, then cover them when they go to hell, instead of covering them while you own it, taking them off when you sell it so the next guy can enjoy a pristine interior.

It’s mostly because I’m lazy lol. If the seats get super dirty just pull out the cover and hose it off.

Why would I wish to have my seats trashed AND saturated with water - further quickening their demise? Maybe I am abnormal (yep) but as my daily driver, AND topples/doorless for 7 and 6 months respectively, I do not let the weather dictate when I drive. If it is raining, I put on the rain gear. If it is snowing, I add even more warm layers. For these reasons I "cover it up right away". AND vinyl seats were not an option on my JP.

I have them on my ‘18 Expedition. Sort of expensive, took maybe a month to ship if I recall. Dogs are safe in their Ruff Tuffs in the back, but I cringed at the thought of one of them sneaking a shot to ride up front. We had a hand me down Terrain with leather that got obliterated over our 4 year stint with it. The Ford is the first new car we’ve ever bought, and the most expensive car we’ve ever bought. Pros:
Seems pretty durable so far
No hot sticky leather
My forgetful self won’t gouge the leather with the pliers or screwdriver left in my back pocket
I think they look pretty nice (grey color on our medium stone interior)
Cons:
Expensive (I remember not feeling good about the cost, but I guess if they hold up... and they have so far)
Heated seat function ~ 87% of original and slower
Cooled seat function ~ lol
So far I would say I’d buy them again for a new vehicle I plan on having for the foreseeable future.

Me personally I can’t stand seat covers because 99% of them look cheap.
I’d rather just use the seats until they wear out then get new ones or reupholster. Definitely not cheap for new seats usually though
