I am looking for some advice. I have a 2 door base sas with softtop.
My end goal would be to have some level of secure enclosure in the back, while also keeping the front doors unlocked so no one slashes my soft top windows to get in.
Right now I see that there are security enclosures for the back however in order to lock the tailgate you also have to lock the doors. This would mean that someone walking up to the car might slash the windows to get in before they realize the cargo enclosure is there.
Ideally I would like to find a way to lock the tailgate, while keeping the front two doors unlocked. This would give a burglar easy access to the car to see that I leave nothing in there rather than slashing my windows to see the same thing.
On my old jeep I used to just lock the back with the key and since the front doors were manual I could just keep them unlocked.
Has anyone worked out a way to do this?
Thanks and looking forward to hearing any ideas.
