Security Keypad stopped responding

Keyless entry keypad on door stopped working a couple months ago. Dealer tried to fix and no luck. They installed a new one and now they can’t get it to program. They are escalating it to a “hotline supervisor”. How hard could it be to program a new keypad? Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have the old one? Take it apart and install a new battery.

It's really easy. Has your dealer ever done one before? I put mine in the gas door.

I recall reading that the Ranger wireless keypads are notorious for burning through batteries. I think we use the same one?

But doesn't really explain why his dealer can't program a new one.

I believe program as if they are an additional keyfob.
