This whole Bronco thing has caused me to do several things I never thought I'd do (first of which is buying a brand new car, there's just never been one that I wanted to so bad and I've never been in the financial position to do so, I am now though!) I enjoy all kinds of cars but I am 100% a Ford person at heart, I have only owned Fords and Lincolns since I got my license. My current car is a 2014 Focus hatchback with a 5 speed manual and sport package, it is kind of a unicorn(no DCT issues here!) I bought it in 2017 with 23k miles, it's up to almost 92k now and has been an absolutely joy to drive and own. I have never given up a car I liked so much but when I saw the new Bronco is happening I knew it would be my next. My parents had an '85 Bronco when I was a kid, my husband and I had a '93 for a few years, when I was a kid and discovered first gen Broncos on Google my mind was blown and I was in love. I cannot wait to get my 2 door!
All that said, my sister is in the market for a good used car for my nephew and niece to drive (proud to say they can all drive stick!) I am giving up the Focus anyway so I decided I'll sell it to them now and pick up a beater in the meantime. After searching marketplace for everything under the sun, we ended up here, a $1500 2wd 1999 Cherokee. It's totally rust free and my husband and I are both suckers for a straight 6. Needs some stuff but should be fun, seller has a 4wd parts Jeep and we are seriously considering buying that and making this one 4x4... didn't want another project but you know how that goes!! My husband has a short commute and will probably end up in the Jeep while I take is 2011 F150, we'll see. Feels weird to register something in my name that isn't from the blue oval but I gotta keep my vanity plate current for when the Bronco comes
