Yeah most old Jags are just oddly proportioned to me (except the XJ13, mmmmmm).

I mean, it's very shiny, and the engine is gorgeous, but every curve of the body is an exercise in, "Honey are you sure?"

Ok it's a little more than the Bronco, but damn does this thing ooze sex appeal...

Took a long look at those pics. I'm an oddball vehicle lover and this rare one really catches my eye. It is a special car and shows it has been used and cared for as time passed.
Needs a new paint job with some glass work (small spiderweb cracks and the hood looks to have a crack repair previously underside driver side). But overall looks like a really fun time to be had.
The inspector in me sees a lot, but it's not a showroom perfect car, has some age and use, so it is to be expected.
And a few of those welds on the A Arms...whoo!
If i did own it and decide to repaint/repair, it has to go back exactly as it is. That look and those colors work well with that design.
If it wasn't so special of a car I can think of about a dozen different paint combos (keeping the same racing motif) that would look awesome on that.
Short of winning the lottery it will remain someone else's prize, though...
But yeah, thanks for sharing! Something different and cool to see.

What's your Coupe number? I built #485.
I don't remember what the number is, old age lol but the roadster is 1491. Kind of a mark 1.5. The coupe is a mark 1 , built in 08. Were you on FF cars forum?

Did you build them or buy them done?
I've seriously been considering getting a Daytona Coupe kit from them.
pretty sexy stuff and drool-worthy to look at their kits...
I did build both of them. I built the roadster in 99 and the coupe in 08. They both have 302 crate motors. The roadster has a Powerdyne S/C, 441 horse and torque at the wheels. The coupe has a boss 302, 650 holley.

Yep, same screen name on there. Mine was a 2011 model so yours is prolly a 200 or 300 chassis number. I got mine after the whole litigation thing with Shelby. Wasn't sure I was gonna get it if FFR didnt win the lawsuit.

You should put them in the showcase...I'd love to check out the build! I'm a tad bit jealous over here.

Whole lot easier to build now with the 3rd gen bodies. I had one of the last 2nd gen bodies and my doors were a train wreck. FFR actually used my pics from my door mods to make the new ones. I had a weeks worth of time getting my drivers door to fit perfect with a 3/16 gap all around. The first 3rd gen body the guy had both doors hung in 6hrs.

Absolutely perfect. I love it.
Thanks, you two.
Just when I was over my FFR addiction and burning, consuming desire to build one of the coupes.
You both show me this and make me re-think and re-plan my next build.
The LSX 59 Apache may have to take a back seat.

I've got a 5.0 roller motor coming out of a 98 Explorer and I've been kicking around building another after the wife's 55 T Bird is done. The next one will have downdraft Webers, 15" Trigo FiA wheels, and painted like Schlesser Ford of France coupe they leased from Shelby.
