Not simply having the same drain setup across all models seems like a weird choice to me. I wonder what the reasoning was behind that.

Many of us Jeepers yank the active drain plugs- which may be our only drains?- and leave ‘em out. Somewhat related, we often end up yanking the carpet as well, in part because on the underneath side are several of what appear to be extra large, extra absorbent, extra gross diapers to sop up water. ?

I'm thinking the passive drains are small and allow any water to drip out vs the active drain design on the BD is larger, positioned where you need it and designed for washing / flushing the grime out.

Most car bodies have drains in the them, they are just sealed up; especially from the underside where the drain plugs are coated with undercoating.

Not sure if this has been posted or seen before. Was found on FordAuthority.

Regardless of carpet or not there will be 6 passive plugs and also drain provisions near A/C under seat.

Six passive plugs = six active whistles.
