Brand new to the forum, just picked up my 4dr hardtop a couple of days ago which happens to coincide with actual rain in California. When I opened every door I noticed water draining out of these little cutouts in the lower part of the door. It seems like the water is being stored in the door. Is this intentional or a problem?

I can't wait for all the other quirks to show up, considering what I paid.

Hard to see in the picture but they appear to be factory drain holes working as designed. Unfortunately I have not yet received my Bronco to confirm.

That is normal with most all vehicles. There are small drains in the doors because the window seals are far from watertight.

Just make sure it doesn't get clogged with pine needles, happened in my 69 bronco and the door rusted inside out.

EVERY first generation that lived east of the Mississippi rotted out, pine needles or not.

Def want to make sure the drains are clear. Good news is the door skin is aluminum, IIRC

Aluminum door skins won’t rust. I would still try to keep the holes cleared out.

Those are weep holes for water drainage, my '16 F150 has the same thing. After a wash or rainy weather I always open the doors, make sure the holes are clear of debris and dirt, and give them a little shake. Otherwise the moisture will just sit inside the doors.

Thanks All for the confirmation and fast responses. I feel like I'm just waiting for sh-t to go wrong with a brand new ride. Hopefully nothing does.

I'm going from a 2015 JKU Wrangler, which gets plenty of water inside.
