I can say from experience getting the secondary latches adjusted to the point where they actually hold in the first position and latch without having to pull down hard, is very difficult. Ended up loosening up the frame attachment bolts, getting the front adjusted so it seals correctly, next making sure the rear lift locks without too much slop or upwards pressure and finally the center latches. Hate to say but the middle latches may need to have the holes slotted or shimmed. Now, if you have a new frame and new canvas, I'd give it a few weeks for the fabric to relax from the sun as well as any tension in the frame. No idea how they don't have this issue at the factory but everyone we've done a skin or frame has been a pita to hit the adjustment sweet spot. The notes say plastic broke on the frame. Not really sure why/how or if that's 100% accurate. To add to my frustration, it doesn't latch easily and won't unlatch with the handle when in the fully reclined position. I doubt they even tested it before releasing the vehicle. Looks like I'll be making adjustments to the mounts myself. Oh, and they forgot to reinstall my IAG EZ-lift soft top system, or even give it back to me. Supposedly it's been found and will be delivered to me, but I'm not holding my breath that all of brackets will be there.
Anyone know of a reliable dealer service department in metro Atlanta? I'm 0 for 2
Before doing a lot of tweaking, give it a few weeks of use and exposure to help it settle.
