Hey all, Reluctantly i switched to a soft top, to take delivery quicker. Boy was that a mistake!

Opening to position 1, and now the top will not seal above the doors! I can stick my hand between the roof framing, and the top. (See pic)

My dealer has reached out to his superiors to hear that this is normal!? If true, this is unbelievable for 50k+. The wind noise is substantially greater than it was before ever opening.

Please report this if you are also having these issues, maybe
@Ford Motor Company
will do something to correct it.
Ford Bronco Major soft top issue 20211128_151346

Edit 1. Something i didnt include in my initial post is being able to see daylight out the gap on the highway with a crosswind.

Its not only the seal, i believe my issue i bigger.

Mine is the same.
the seal just sits there on top of the roll bar. You can stick your hand into the Bronco.
I thought it should interlock somewhere but to use the top as designed, that wouldnā€™t work.
I think itā€™s just the way it is.

Iā€™d suggest you are not the soft top type. Get a hard top.

(Iā€™ve owned 5 soft top vehicles over the last 35 years)

Have you tried a carwash?? Inside gets wet!
it didn't scratch your windows the car wash?

I definitely not going to use car wash on mine. They just destroy cars with the years.

Every convertible I have ever owned has leaked at some point. My 87 GT 5.0 went through the car wash not too long ago and both fronts seats got wet. Stays 99.9% dry while sitting and driving in the rain though šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I haven't even flipped the top back on our Bronco yet as we just picked it up this past weekend. Drove home in 50-60mph wind gusts and the wind was definitely making it in through the top when we had crosswind gusts.

Ive owned a soft top jeep for 8+yrs and I don't have this issue, but then again that's because my top clips into groove above the windows therefor sealing it.

Well I can say my 8yr old Bestop on my 05 LJ wrangler has never leaked on me and it's been up/down hundreds of times.
