Thats a crap design! Im not done fighting it
Don Quixote rides again! Seriously, I am all for fighting against impossible odds and all that, but how are you going to fight a company's design for something, organize a boycott of Bronco rag-tops and hope they rot on dealer lots because people support your cause? "My convertible doesn't seal up as well as a hard top!" is a pretty shitty bumper sticker slogan

I haven't even flipped the top back on our Bronco yet as we just picked it up this past weekend. Drove home in 50-60mph wind gusts and the wind was definitely making it in through the top when we had crosswind gusts.

Ive owned a soft top jeep for 8+yrs and I don't have this issue, but then again that's because my top clips into groove above the windows therefor sealing it.
And THIS is the difference.
also coming from a ST Jeep (and a convertible Cobra) here.
I expected the same kind of deal but the Bronco just isn’t designed that way with the two plastic L brackets that rotate into the door surrounds.
As crazy as it feels, this is how they’re made.

Can we just use some hook and loop on the frame or something? Don’t have mine yet but I will be getting a soft top.
Exactly what I'm thinking......

How else could a soft top work, especially with frameless doors?
Really, I personally just assume that would be how they all are.
Maybe I am naĂŻve? Dunno....

Mike
Well, most of us would assume that there would be some sort of a drip edge or hangover peace or something.

Every manufaturer...Even jeep states not to take soft tops through an automated Car Wash...you can absolutely do it..... but no warranty if you do. If you ever have and sat in the car during wind dryers...you know why.

Jeeps also have a large Drip edge built into the framing, above the doors, to cover the edge. That is the difference I am seeing.

I took mine inside of a brush free car wash. Didn’t have any water intrusion whatsoever.
Not an auto.....I was holding the wand

My thoughts as well. I haven’t received my Bronco yet but I’ll MacGyver a solution if a problem comes up. If needed, and if I can test-fit a workable solution, I’ll have a tent and awning place stitch a strip of Velcro to the top which I’ll seam seal afterwards. I like home made mods so in this case…
