Soft top broken tabs

i did the same to 3 tabs (2 on one side, 1 on the other). It looks like the rear will not seat correctly now right?

I did the same thing, was stunned by how little effort it took to snap 2. I repaired them with nylon zip ties. Drill a 1/8” hole through the former stem of the broken tab, slowly and carefully so you only penetrate the plastic backing and not the outer fabric. Drill a second hole 3/8” - 1/2” below also through the plastic backing. Carefully feed the zip tie in 1 hole and out the other. Once all offending locations have zip ties installed, tighten till secure.

Model: Ford 2021-2022 Bronco Soft top roof Issue: Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may exhibit loose exterior fabric on the rear window assembly. This may be due to broken D-pillar clips on the rear window. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the D-pillar clips with rivets. Action: Follow the Service Procedure to repair vehicles that meet all of the following criteria:

With your setup as depicted in the photos, does the square-ish part of the zip tie (containing the locking mechanism) interfere in any way with how the rear window sits on the vehicle once it's reinstalled? I'm considering this fix myself because I also have 2 tabs broken (just on the opposite side of yours).

Also, this is such a terrible design on Ford's part. I know others have mentioned this in the past, but my goodness.

It does not interfere with the windows in any way. In fact, they are only visible to the cabin area because I used red ties, black would be all but invisible, I just did not have any at the time.

Had the same thing happen. This technique worked great.

Just leave the top down all the time. Great Danes like riding around with the top down anyway.

Just noticed mine had this issue too. Must have happened last time I took the windows off (only have done it twice...). Back window is on back-order until 7/22 but if the TSB fixes this without bothering with these little tabs, that's great. I saw it was peeling up a tiny by and when I inspected it, another tab popped off. They're so insanely brittle and weak I can't believe this was their solution. It seems like water could get in but I'm honestly not concerned. I'm mostly worried since I have a long road trip planned at the beginning of August I don't want this to come flapping in the wind halfway through it. I'd rather get the TSB for it than a replacement window because it'll probably just happen again.

Confirming what others have said - It is a known issue and Ford has a bulletin to install rivets. Dealership hadn't seen it before, and they were ready to replace the entire back window, but then they found the bulletin. Rivets are on order and they are replacing under warranty.

Overall very good customer service at Keller Ford in Grand Rapids.

I actually bought the car through Great Lakes in Muskegon. Ordered it on the Ford website last June without any dealer involvment. Took delivery in January. They passed it through at MSRP with no mark-ups.

I got my Bronco from Colt at Tony Betten Ford. He honored MSRP, including the price protection. My transaction was smooth the whole way, including updates on scheduling.

I did something similar. This is the fix I came up with.

THANK YOU!!! This fix saved me big time! Dealership was no help at all to get the TSB done so I tried doing it myself with rivets which proved frustrating. This wire fix seems plenty secure, probably stronger than the factory solution! I'm leaving on a long road trip in 3 days and I had 1 clip holding on the driver side fabric. Thank you!
