Hello all! I need some help.

The passenger side tension wire on my soft top has been really loose for quite some time. I just put the soft top back on and went investigating. I found the spring that connects the rear end of the wire is pulled out (un-sprung, stretched out) causing the extra length and the loose tension.

I have found two possible part numbers M2DZ-7852806-A and M2DZ-7852806-B. Both of these are wire cables with a spring at the end. Does anyone have a better exploded diagram to tell which is correct to go from the A-pillar to the C-pillar? B looks longer in the pictures but then what the heck is A for?

I took me over a year to get my cable replaced because the cables weren’t the correct length. Thankfully under warranty.

Yes, I definitely don’t want to take this to the dealer over a $50 part. Any idea which part number they ended up with?

I closed some of the spring coils with a needle nose and put a few twists of wire as a temp solution. Does anyone know if I need to order the rivet too? Or should I just put a bolt through the backside and a nut on the outside? I am good at cutting the head off of a rivet but I've never installed one.
