Broken soft top tension cable. Anyone else with this issue?

The driver side tension cable broke on my soft top. The cable itself didn’t break but the attachment above the rear driver side door broke.
Like the rivet or what ever bolt was holding it broke.
Dropped it off at the dealer this am. Hopefully an easy fix for them.
anyone else have this issue?
I searched and found other issues but not this

Update: The dealership has sent my bronco to a local auto shop in town called topless auto shop.
as you can imagine they specialize in convertibles and soft tops.

thought it was interesting they couldn’t fix this at the dealership. But as long as it’s fixed, I don’t care.

supposedly they will be done tomorrow. I’ll update with the final verdict.

Final update:
All is fixed and covered under warranty.
Said they had to fix the anchor for the front tension wire. Well the dealer didn’t fix it but the soft top speciality place fixed it.
appears just like new and $0 out of my pocket.
So I’m a happy camper!

Glad it got resolved. Weird scenario. I guess dealer paid third party and Ford pays dealer?

I’m unsure how that works. I guess I could have asked.
But I was happy with “it’s covered under warranty and you owe $0”
Haha!

I would assume that the dealer would pay the 3rd party. Then submit it to ford mothership and get reimbursed.

Mine didn’t break, but was found loose on the passenger’s side. Don’t know if it was delivered loose from the factory or came loose when I dropped the top for the first time. Found it inside the sewn channel about 1-2” shy of the connection point. Fished it out and reconnected it. Seems to be holding up fine since.
