My backup camera is pretty much completely blurred out. Between sun glare and night time I legit can not see anything while backing out. I have tried wiping the lenses multiple times and also washed my car just to double check....still no help. I am assuming there is something inside of the lense that is causing the issue. I called my local dealership's service team, and they are claiming they will run a diagnostic test (which cost $200) then they will move forward to see the issue possibly replacing the camera which obviously will be extra cost. I just wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this issue before, and if so what process did you take to fix the situation. I have a picture attached to show what I am dealing with. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know what you think. Thank you for your time!

So I didn’t pay for the extended warranty does that mean I’m SOL?

The extended warranty doesn't give you anything extra but more time.

Personally it sounds like your dealer is trash and you need to go find a different one.

What should have happened, is the service manager should I take it a look, realized that there's something wrong with your camera, and said no problem will fix it for you under warranty.

Unless you submerged the rear camera and let it sit submerged for a year, this is warranty.

If your rig is still under warranty, it should be covered. They have replaced multiple cameras on my 2018 F250 Super Duty for the exact same reason. It is a pretty common problem. If not, replace it yourself. I Think most are pretty easy to do. Looking at your example, it’s pretty clear 🤣 it is the camera. No diagnosis needed for me.
