Softest bolts ever?

I just bought a box of m8 TP bolts to replace some cheap chinese ones in my Amazonian HD Mod Bumper Clone, of which I've already stripped a handful (threads mostly, tap&die to the rescue, but one with a stripped head I need to fix eventually)

Of course, the box I bought were also cheap chinese ones, so ... but I just couldn't bring myself to paying $6 per bolt from Ford to get the word "Bronco" stamped on them, when I bought a whole damn case of the for $5.

I know, I'll probably regret it.

This works for Torx/Torx+ and Hex/Allen socket bolts -- Dip the tip of the bit in coarse valve grinding compound. The grit provides extra grip for the bit. Loosened many a bolt with this, before I stripped them. Any good parts store (or Amazon) should have some...Clover and Permatex brands are common

I do have to agree with you. Although, you need work gently with them and make sure use tools that are the right fit, Ford did use cheap bolts that are not as durable as they could be. A lot of corners were cut to save as much money as possible.

They are soft, you have to be extra careful with them
