Do people think we should use a spare tire cover, or no? And if so, go simple, or get one with a cool design?

It feels silly to get one, the other tires get along just fine without one. On the other hand, the other tires are constantly rotating what's getting the most direct sun. So maybe the spare would start to be impacted since it's always the same side up?
I’d like to see one, rather with ford or bronco options, plain or designed

I wish Ford would offer a first-party 33" cover for the BFG KO2s. Or maybe the 32" cover fits and I just don't know it.

Yes, you should. UV Light breaks down the tire. this happens for the mounted tires as well but they are more likely to get shade, and their tread surface usually is not exposed. Mounted on the back the tread surface gets a lot of exposure as well as the sidewall.

Make sure when rotating tires the one on the back is included in that rotation.

I'd like to see the math on this one.

Here you go:

You pay for 5 tires and rotate all of them
They all wear out with 20% more extended life then 4 tires
You then have to buy 5 more tires

For the sake of simplicity if a tire costs $1 and only lasted 10 days, you would get 12 days life out of all 5 - 20% more
At day 13 you would be buying your second set of tires $5 bucks, total money spent $10 Bucks

If you pay for 5 tires but don’t use the spare,
They last 20% less time. but only 4 tires go bad
You only have to buy 4 tires

Same costs as above, but now they only last 10 days (because you don’t have the 20% more life)
So on day 11 you spend $4 dollars, for a total cost of $9.

If you sell your car on day 15 (halfway through the life of your second set of tires) you have saved money. But the longer you keep your car, the more then numbers start to catch up and surpass.

But if you want to sell your car on day 11, the 5 tire rotation is the way to go.

And if you want different tires all together, 5 tire rotation, or sell you spare for 50 cents.

And for the record, I'm not a fan of tire covers.

There are certain things I see old men do to their vehicles, such as reflective strips on the bumpers, deer whistles, and white wall tires. Tire covers fall in that category. More so if you have aftermarket wheels you are proud of

Ford Bronco Spare tire cover or no? B375F3AD-FF81-44CC-B108-EA502805C8D0

Obviously personal preference and a lot of reasons to cover or not cover. I just like the vintage look this one gives.

Regarding rotating four versus five tires. I want to wear out all five evenly because I probably won't get the same Goodyear tire that came with the Sasquatch when I get a new set. I'll get something more like the BFGoodrich KM3 next time, and I'll buy five so that the spare matches the others.

I've never had the same tires twice so I'm fully on board with this thinking.

No - unless you can get the “naked silhouette of a woman” like truckers had on mud flaps in the 80’s. That would be a classy move sure to get you all kinds of attention.
