I didn't want to tear a bunch of the rear apart. Adding more bass to the rear panel was not going to fly with the....rattles, vibration and such. I upgraded the dash speakers to Kicker DS 4"ers and did the SSV rear pods with Kicker CS 6.5"ers. I left the kick panel OE speakers alone. I then added the plug-n-play 200 watt Beat-Sonic amp for the speakers. Fit like a glove under the steering shaft. I then added in an Alpine PWE-SB10 powered sub and pulled the fuse for the OE sub amp/speaker. I used a cargo net to hold the sub in place so I call pull it out if needed. Made a VERY noticeable upgrade in both sound quality and volume. I did nothing with FORscan for the rear pod speakers.

I like the idea of having a sub enclosure that isn’t taking up the whole cargo space and can be easily removed. I went with a downfiring shallow kicker enclosure with two 12” Kicker L7’s. But yeah, I’ve wasted a lot of money figuring things out. It’s definitely a journey. I have kicker KS series for the 4”, the kick panels, and 6.5” pods all powered by a Musway M6 Pro DSP. Couldn’t be happier with the Musway. Then 1200 watt kicker amp for the 12’s and kicker 500.1 for a 10” sub in a 3d printed enclosure replacing the factor sub.

Ended up buying two pairs of the Audison Prima 4" coax. Had a good deal from my CC co: Spend $350+ on ABT and get $200 back. Also got $25 the first order. Those look easy enough to do myself.

The 6.5" pods are tempting, but I decided to keep the stock pods + get the same 4 speakers front and rear.

So phase 2 will be an amp and install the sub that I pulled out of my last vehicle: A single JL 12" in a down firing sealed box. Might be temtped to get a tailgate 10" or something else that won't take up storage space. Though the box I have will work decent storage wise: down facing and all black carpet. So if I have to put cargo on top, it won't hurt the sub. Probably not the correct decision sound wise, but I do already own it. So 0 cost.

I'll decide when I get the amp installed if I also want to have them replace the kick panel speakers in front. I watched a couple youtube videos and that looks like a pain to do. Seems like an awful place to put mids or highs anyway, at your ankles.

It was with the Alines I tried. I would bet the Audison’s are extremely smooth, even with multiple coax’s.

You probably have Lux which is 12 with one in the center.

I do not have Lux, so there's 7 speakers:
2 X 4" coax - front dash corners
2 X 4" coax - factory pods rear roll bar

those are what I'm replacing.

Not replacing the other 3 until I get an amp:
2X 6.75" (6.5"?) woofer - mounted in the kick panels at your feet
1X 6.75" sub

Looks like some have put an 8" sub replacement in the factory rear. Many seem to think it isn't worth it because of rattles. So probably just unplug the OEM sub an use my old JL 12" in the storage area.

Undecided if I will change out the front kick panel speakers. Many have said don't bother. If I do change them out, probably use Audison up there just for sake of matching. Don't think a tweeter would be necessary down there, but more options that are coax. If Audison has a component woofer that will fit, might do that.
