I've had a FE since 22. I love it, but I'm increasingly tossing around the idea of getting a newer Bronco. I like the idea of the 7MT or a Raptor. So I spec'd out a 7MT badlands and it comes out to be not that much cheaper than the starting price of a raptor. That was a bit surprising - but actually mabye not.
I went on to look at Raptors (my FE is lightning blue), and other then blue, just not much in terms of colors - although I like red/maroon on cars, I don't personally like it on an auto I own. So that brought me to shelter green. I saw a shelter green with the code orange package on my dealer's lot and actually kind of like it. The issue is, if you get the code orange package, it seems you have to get the color matched roof. I would honestly rather have a black painted roof. It's odd to me because the graphics do not seem to extend up on to the roof at all, but it makes you take the body colored painted roof. So the only way to get code orange with black roof is to get a black Bronco.
Anyone know why this is? I've seen a similar thing when ordering Jeeps. Seemingly unrelated things cannot be ordered together for whatever reason. Is it something to do with how production lines are equipped or something? Just curious and would like to learn why. It's probably some obvious thing that I'm missing.
