I did something very similar with my 1989 Bronco. But… I was living in Arizona at the time and the Arizona sun/heat just cooked the stickers to death. But now that I live in New England I may have to do that again once I get my Bronco (hopefully before the end of time, although it ain’t looking promising right now).

Central Connecticut.
And honestly I’m still trying to figure out the “where” question. I have tons of experience wheeling… but all of that was when I lived out in Arizona. Back west there is tons of public BLM land, National Forests, National Parks, etc. to go off-roading. We don’t really got that here in the New England area, so trying to figure it out still.
I’m thinking I’m going to have to venture up to northern New Hampshire to find something, which is obviously a lot closer to you than me.
