My Bronco has been built and shipped by rail; once arriving at the rail yard I thought it would be just a few days until it got to my dealer. Unfortunately it's been over two weeks now sitting in a parking lot at the rail yard waiting for a truck to take it to the dealer just a short ways away. This seems ridiculous to me...it's honestly to the point where I don't feel like I even want it anymore. Pretty disgusted. Anyone else run into this?

Sorry, but this is pretty standard. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t.

First thing that has to happen is that a full truck of vehicles has to build up that is going to your dealership. Once that occurs a truck is scheduled. The logistics takes time, unless your vehicle is one of the last ones to fill the load.

Keep in mind this system is designed for the lowest cost to deliver inventory stock. I doubt customers would opt for $5000 to $ 8000 destination fees if offered.

Yeah, you’re at the mercy of the trucking company for now, although I’d expect it sooner than later. At least it’s built and somewhat close to the final destination and not sitting on some sort of Dirt or Ice Mountain. I’d bug your dealer everyday. My dealer lacked on communication skills and yours might, too.

I waited 18 months, although the transit wait was only 10 days. I guess I got lucky?

My brother had his Grand Wagoneer sit in a rail lot for 4 1/2 months.

Modern living in these times of hardship, I Know.

Mine arrived at rail yard outside Philadelphia on July 11, 2023 and delivery date gets pushed out every week. Now estimated delivery is between July 22 and August 4.

Wait until you get hit with the seat belt stop sale order at the dealer. Then you will really get frustrated and want to walk away.

Someone else will gladly take it if you don't want it. Understand your frustration, but why give up now? Just forget about it and when you get the call you'll be surprised. Easier said than done, yes but you can do it!

Could be worse - You could still not be built and waiting years like some of these guys. Or almost worse, built and at the dealer but in recall purgatory for some silly ass seatbelt clip. :FML:

Sounds like what I am experiencing is not uncommon; will just go back to being patient.
