A while back I had replaced the OEM sub with a 8" Kicker. I didn't do anything with the grill at the time though.

Now, after a while, I'm thinking maybe I should have put in a larger grill - maybe that would help the trim rattle on hard hits? I know the JVC Stealthbox comes with a replacement panel to accommodate the larger sub. I'm looking for something will mesh/screen over it, I don't want to see the speaker or into the panel, and ultimately I'll put grill cloth over it to help keep dust/mud from getting in there.

Can't really find a suitable replacement and wondering what others have done. Just poking around - round ones are common but I don't think a round one would be easy to fit, since the current one is square and situated high on the cargo panel - can't get a clean round cut for it. I can't really find a large enough square-ish one other than the Kicker model, which is not really a grill and more like just a few cross bars.

... this looks to be my best worst option right now.
Google "subwoofer grilles". I saw at least 10 that would work for an 8 inch speaker.
You will have to decide how you want to mount it and how much to trim the panel opening.

Or check out the audio shops around you. Good chance they have some laying.
