OK - this is barely worthy of the Interior Modifications thread, but here goes:

Up 'till now I've been storing my sunglasses in the console box. Major hassle getting them out and putting them back in that console, especially in traffic. I had originally ordered my Bronco with the sunglass door up by the mirror, just like I was used to in my 2001 F-150, but then I decided that I had to have all those cool switches up there, and changed my order.

One day my mechanical engineer brain had a thought, and I tried it out. This was after seeing a $95 steel basket that could be installed just aft of the overhead switch panel. Here it is:

I has some Scotch "extremely strong" fasteners in my too box. These are like Velcro, but way stronger. I've used them to attach add-on electronic modules to plastic surfaces on my motorcycle, and they've always held tight.

I stuck one strip to the back of my glasses case and one strip to the plastic surface on the switch module. Here's a side view, showing how they're stuck together:

Here's a static view from just aft of the sunglass holder:

Easy peasy to get my glasses now!

Like I said, it's a small deal, but very simple.

someone else made a MOLLE basket, but I think they only worked if you didn't have the Aux switches like the OP. ;)
That basket goes above the sun visor. Aux switches won’t matter.

Attach to the visor and have them always handy. Only downside is they get dusty when you’re on trails with the roof off or windows down

I just lay them in the recess on the dash. Makes it easy to find & easy to access 🤠
They can get really hot sitting on the dash on a sunny day and can fly away in a turn. I like the idea of having a storage solution that is easily reached and keeps them safe, secure and cool. I put a magnetic closable eyeglass case (see below) above the visor using Alien tape. My prescription glasses (night/day-sunglasses) can safely store there while driving and are within easy reach. They also kind of disappear from view, so someone checking through the window might not be tempted to investigate further - a much bigger issue with a soft top (think slashing open to get the door unlocked).

All good ideas but I just pass one arm of my sunglasses through the top panel bracket and let 'em hang. Been doing this since day 1.....
