3M auto tape (and similar for repairing phones and laptop screens) might be too permanent and "leave a mark" might be better to use the 3m Command Strips for rough surfaces

Otherwise I like the idea, my sunglasses for now reside in one of the cup holders when using the phone charger, otherwise in the phone charger tray or center console

Agreed. I used the Alien Tape. This can be pulled off like command strips but seems to hold stronger (at least so far)

Bought a molle visor organizer and molle sunglasses case. Fits perfectly in the dead space above the visor. Sorry no pics for proof.

Mine have lived in the lower door forever. I’m guessing they will live there in the Bronco as well.

From my old cars, I have become used to having my sunglasses up in the overhead holder. If you have the switches, you don't have a place for your shades. The solution of keeping them in the center console did not work for me and I hate visor clips.

Simple idea:

1. Find a sunglass case that would look good in your Bronco.
2. Make sure the case has a flat back and a hinged lid that opens up and leaves the front open.
3. Stick on above the visors with Alien Tape.

Viola! Solution came out so nice my wife asked for reciprocity for the passenger's seat

I don't have a hard top. With soft top, works fine.

Funny you should ask. Had one come off just yesterday! Putting some new tape and trying it again. Held out this long...

I figured the thread was started during winter. I'm working in Texas this week and the heat is not fun, would take a toll on tape.

Does anyone have input if this case holds woman’s sunglasses? My wife seems to like big ole honking sunglasses and has been asking me to help find a solution. (She has aux switches and uses them so I can’t swap that out.)

I just bought and tried OP's case and mounting location. Doesn't open big enough on my hard top with headliner. I guess now I'm going o try this one instead.

Thats the Mabel console organizer, $35 , at amazon. went on very easy, photo is not that clear due to the sun, however on the drivers side you can see the sunglasses , plenty of room for a cell phone also, the passengers side is exactly the same.
Does not interfere when driving-- hitting my legs etc. I found this to be a very useful modification.
