So both the dealership and I tried to install the molle panel on the tailgate. Both ran into an issue where the hooks don't quite match correctly. Also noticed a terrible sag on the top of the panel as well. Anybody else running into an issue with the installation of this accessory?

I thought I had read an install and they had to add a little bit of velcro or something. Can't speak for the hook issue though. Maybe you got a bad one?

One of my top hooks came unstitched. before it came unstitched it sagged.

I ended up using a zip tie up top in place of the hook and that resolved my sag as well. They should have supplemented the top with velcro.

Mine has a little sag on the top right. It’s been that way for 3 months now…when it warms up I’ll probably try some Velcro.

I really had to pull hard to get the clips to fit in mine. I used pliers to pull the hooks down while using a screwdriver to open the hook up a bit more to angle it in the slot. Velcro all around the edges but cut a groove for the cables.

Also may be a dumb question but did you remove the plastic piece on the tailgate first before trying to install it?

Yup you have to in order to access the slots where the hooks go. My issues are the sag when all four hooks are in the top slots and the pita of trying to get everything to fit correctly.

I'll try your tips, but I'm looking at your pics and wondering if I got a bad MOLLE panel. Guess I'll see when I try it later. Where I circled is where I'm getting the sag/puffing out.

Weird. Maybe it's bad quality control on their end. It was super hard to get in but it feels really sturdy once it's in.

Mine came in the mail yesterday. I installed today. Wish Ford told you how to remove the plastic "Accessory Ready" panel. After I figured that out the installation was a breeze. I had no issues with the clips lining up.

I ordered one and had it installed prior to purchase and everything aligned perfectly upon inspection of the installation.

Did you use tape backed velcro? Just on the top or all the way around?
