We are intoxicated by the engine sound, but still wincing at the fugly flares. What?!? Nobody’s complaining about the fender flares?!? Where are all the Raptor haters?!?

My understanding is that they put the coyote in these but it was naturally aspirated. Why would they do that? Maybe I’m mistaken. We have F150s with the 5.0 and the 2.7 in them and the 2.7 absolutely roasts the coyote equipped trucks. My son finally put a supercharger on his coyote in his F150 and it performs nicely and I would probably have a tough time keeping up with him in my 2.7 propelled F150 after his upgrade.Pretty good video:
The 3.5 ecoboost can likely compete with a 5.0 coyote on most charts, but I don't think the 2.7 ecoboost is even close, in stock form.My understanding is that they put the coyote in these but it was naturally aspirated. We have all three engines in F-150’s and the coyote sounds better but either Ecoboost outperforms it in every performance category, especially when towing. The numbers shown below are for similarly set up crew cab 4X4 F-150’s.The 3.5 ecoboost can likely compete with a 5.0 coyote on most charts, but I don't think the 2.7 ecoboost is even close, in stock form.
But really, everything is dependent on what your goal (and application is).
Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. We have all three engines in F-150’s and the coyote sounds better but either Ecoboost outperforms it in every performance category, especially when towing. The numbers in the attached are for similarly set up crew cab 4X4 F-150’s.
You’re welcome to go for a ride with us if the data provided above isn’t convincing enough. I also have a late model Mustang GT that is fun but feels sluggish compared to my 2.7 Bronco and 2.7 F-150. The Coyote has no low rpm grunt so unless it’s rapped out tight, it is relatively slow.Guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
