Maiden Voyage with the cargo trailer. What mode are people using? I'm guessing either normal or sport?

Since there is no "tow-haul" mode, except on the Braptor, I would use Normal. Sport mode will automatically turn on 4A--why risk burning up a transfer case.

I use sport mode when I tow and I push the 2 wheel button. I like the difference in shift points as well as the throttle response with 'sport' over 'normal' when leaving from a stop.

I've only ever towed in normal but I think I'll try this next time.

Go into the menu on the instrument cluster and there is a tow mode option there.
This is to tow your bronco, not tow WITH your Bronco.

I've been playing with sport, and thought this might be the case. We'll see.

What is this mythical sport mode I keep hearing of? Does it need to be added via Forscan?

Yes. Forscan is required to enable this mode. There are many YouTube videos out there that show how it is done. The forscan thread on 6G has a spreadsheet showing what needs to be changed using the OBDC adapter and Windows Forscan software.

Badlands does not have “sport” mode. You received the “Baja” mode instead.

Your transfer case will not burn up from towing in 4A. Sport mode is preferable in my book for towing AZ it locks out the upper two overdrive which is what tow mode on every other vehicle accomplishes. You do not want to tow in OD. Many other vehicles that are AWD with no selection of 2WD tow just fine with greater payload.

Since selecting Sport Mode automatically selects 4A (it can then be shut off) then go ahead and tow all day long in anything but 4H or 4 L.
