Trims and Options Cost, High or Not?

I am NO Expert this is my Opinion and I think it would sell more units accessories, ext. and Consumers would be Happier.

I was looking for more competitive pricing from Ford with the Bronco. Given that they would like to claim their stake in the Off Road segment. Granted we really don’t how it’s going to be priced but from the Email Survey it’s costly.

Compared 4 Door Models/Vehicles

Examples:

Dual-Tops

Bronco $3700 – Jeep $2295 Difference of $1405-


-Engine/Trans

(V6Turbo/10 Speed Auto) Bronco $3500 – (V6/8 Speed Auto) Jeep $2750 Difference of $750-

F-150 same Engine/Trans $995.00 Difference of $2505


-LED Lights All Around – Compared 4Door Black Diamond/4 Door Outer Banks

(Bronco $2905 – Jeep $1195 Difference of $1710-


-Trailer/Tow Here’s the Bonus Item

Bronco $600 – Jeep $795 Difference of $195+


Total $3865 w/out $2505 – Totaling $6370

To me that number is a Trim Level missed out on or a Sasquatch Package and accessories that could have been purchased. In the end Ford is still making money, I hope prices are more competitive with Jeep in the end.

2. I think jeeps are cheaply built compared to what Ford offers

I think things will get closer at some point, but not the first year. Ford is treating this like its "almost" a brand new debut, but with a history... Does that give it the premium price point? I dunno, not the first 4x4, and not the first 4x4 from Ford. But there is demand (not that anyone accepted orders yet) during a pandemic, so they can set the price for now.
I do think the options are ridic though. You can get 2 Base for what a first Ed costs, but it's the same car to me, so I dunno, everything is crazy

The pricing on roofs seems a bit crazy, but some things seem fair. I think ford really needs to pay attention to Jeep pricing because they will start adjusting some of their pricing down to stay out in front. Jeep still has about a year to make money. They also have new models, V8 with 702 HP, a Hybrid due out ahead of Bronco. In recent quality ratings, FCA has moved up while Ford and GM have both dropped. Now that the survey is out, you can tell a lot of members saw sticker shock, so hopefully Ford is paying attention.

I think they are referring to the signature lighting, which isn't available until you get to the higher trims. The tails are incandescents without the signature light package, I believe.

I would like to see Ford price it the same as the F-150 that was point of that.
I think the only LED's are the Blinkers on the front and that's it.

The only options I thought seem stupid where the roof option prices the rest seems on par for what I was envisioning...
This most likely will be my last new car purchase for myself so I’m gonna get what I want- so let’s do this thing...
