Hello fellow Bronco enthusiasts,
I recently purchased a Procal4 for my Bronco, and I'm having some issues with the upgrade process when connecting it to my PC. I was hoping to get some advice and insights from the community here.
Issue: When I connect my Procal4 to my PC, I am unable to perform the upgrade as intended. The software doesn't seem to work as expected, and I'm at a loss as to what might be causing the problem.
What I've Tried So Far:
I've followed the instructions provided with the Procal4 to the letter.
I've ensured that my PC meets the system requirements.
I've checked for any driver updates, but everything seems up-to-date.
I've attempted the process multiple times, but with no success.
Questions:
Has anyone else encountered a similar issue with their Procal4 and PC connection?
Are there any troubleshooting steps or tips you can share to help me resolve this problem?
Is there any specific software or firmware I should be aware of to make the upgrade smoother?
I appreciate any guidance or advice you can offer. Your experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping me get my Bronco up and running with the Procal4. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Thank you for your reply. I believe it's possible. I am in China, but even after connecting it to the computer, it still doesn't respond to any actions

does your vehicle have a VIN starting with 1,2 or 4?

i suspect the tune is geolocked and require a 50 states US location or Canada.

or it could be blocked by the great firewall

since the bronco is not officially for sale in china (yet),
i'm guessing the tune is calling home and getting a null response

Thank you for your response. I agree with what you said; it should be possible to connect it to my Bronco. However, some functions seem to be unavailable. I changed my gear ratio to 4.7, and it appears that the speedometer correction feature should work, but my vehicle is still in the modification process and hasn't been tested yet. I wanted to ask if, after changing the gear ratio, this device needs to remain connected to the vehicle at all times while driving, or if it can be disconnected?

Additionally, I'd like to ask for the tire data for 37-inch tires. Thank you in advance!

it can be removed. AWD will probably need to be relearned after the
gearing and tyre size change.

I had the same issue. Tried 3 different Windows based laptops and got the same error. After the 3rd laptop, I realized it was NOT the PC having issues. I solved the problem by “brute force”, relentlessly clicking on the “try again” button on the pop up and eventually forcing the update push to Ford’s server. After that, installing it on the truck was flawless. Hope that helps.

Sounds silly - but try a different USB cable or a different port on your computer. Cheap USB cables can sometimes cause issues
