Tube Doors price & part numbers released: $1250 2-Door / $2250 4-Door

Okay, be easy on me when I ask this question, because I am a geezer and never a trail runner. What is the actual purpose of these “ doors”. I get some may like the look and the possible ” cool” factor, but is there an actual reason for the design? Is it simply a way to hit trails while switching out the daily doors in order not to worry about door damage? These prices make me wonder what a real door shell goes for. Thanks.

It’s important that all the happy thorny plants here in Arizona can get inside the vehicle to ride along too!

try them off sometime when running in the wild you can see way more out there especially if hunting big difference and the open air feel you get from a utv as well ...the over all fun factor way up when weather is good... i suppose the tube doors add security should you roll etc....

I just got my window sticker for my 2 Door and it has the tube doors on there for $1360! I have two questions, if anyone can help me out.

1) Since I had these on my order when ordering first opened in 2021 for $850, do I get price protection on this?
2) If I decide I don't want to fork out $1360 for the doors, can I just not buy them when my Bronco is delivered to the dealer, since they're considered a dealer installed option? Or do I have to buy them since they're on the window sticker? If that's the case, that doesn't seem fair since they were originally priced much lower.

I like the doors off, but ordered the tube doors because in PA you have to run with the doors your vehicle came with. This means I can't take the doors off my Wrangler, but if I can show my Bronco came with tube doors from the factory I should be good.

I am in PA as well. Hence I put them on the original order. It’s on the window sticker so I should be covered. Never seen it enforced but couldn’t hurt. Neighbor drives all summer without them in a four doorJeep and has never been stopped.

Yup, I've seen plenty of doorless Jeeps in my area, and have really only heard of issues in the major cities like Philly, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh. My notary said that the cops hassled her son at Bantam for not having doors, but it was a CJ and he was able to show proof of no doors from the factory. So basically, if you're rural and not participating in a major Jeep fest, you're probably fine. But for an extra grand or 2 on a $50K vehicle it will be nice to have it on the sticker.

I’m really not happy since it’s always been published around $1500…

My apologies. I am ordering my vehicle when the window opens...you're saying that if I order with the vehicle, it's cheaper than if you order afterwards? You'd think the price would be the same, regardless, as dealerships are getting Ford products in all the time.
