Did you ever own an IHC product? Your knowledge of the quality, reliability and durability of everything from Farmall Cubs up to the Emeryvilles is lacking. IHC Scouts were no exception. In thec60s there were no better trucks for farm use than IHC.Wasn't Scout made by Internaional? From what I know this isn't exactly a company well known for high quality vehicles. Was the Scout an exception?
Stuck because......they did not get out from behind the steering wheel to lock in the front hubs. Some friends from high school bought a cpouple of Gamma Goats when the army in AK surplussed them, and they said that were were absolute shit. They got stuck at the first sign of ickyness and were pure buttered hell to get them unstuck. SUSV's were better off road but not practical on the road.
When I was going through mechanic school in the Army about 30 years ago, one of my civilian instructors claimed that the Gamma Goat was one of the first military vehicles designed by a woman...don't think that is true, but be was an older guy so misogynistic comments wouldn't have been out of line for that generation. That was sarcasm! They were shit!
It's called the KM450 and it resolved all of the M715's problems.I don't know about that...a modified/updated M715 known as Kia/Hyundai K311 cargo truck is still in use today
