What? They're dropping BD steelies? So will the black spoke aluminum be standard? I read in another thread They're dropping the 2d OBX. Add these to the dropped colors and cloth seats on some and we're developing some first/second year unicorns.

Anyone who wants steelies can buy them aftermarket pretty cheaply.

The OEM ones were powder coated not painted. They should last a lot longer before rusting

Black Diamond steelies with 285/70R17 Cooper AT3 4Ss. No modes needs except to trim the rubber bumpers for the spare.

Went with the Kenda Klever 35 x 10.5 and a two inch lift. Kept the steelies.... loving it so far!

No hit at all to gas mileage. Maybe a slight increase actually. Been two years on these tires and no issues. Love them. They ride and look great with little to no noise. They are just the right size for the non-squatch on steelies. Just my opinion though.

Picked up our '23 BD at the end of September. This is our first off road vehicle and we thought we'd use it to just get us to a few hiking trails. Turns out we love it so much we have been making excuses to get it further and further off road every weekend. Really enjoying this new-found hobby and happy the Black Diamond fits a great sweet spot between on road manors and off road capability.
