I am going through this forum and can see that people are on versions higher than 2.0. I checked my 2021 outer banks bronco with the 12 inch display and it says I am at 1.6.0 and that it is up to date.

How come people are able to update theirs but mine is still on an older version and says that it’s the most up to date version? I am connected to the wifi and have set a recurring schedule for the update.

Looks like this is an old problem that doesn't have a solution. I am in the same boat with being stuck on version 1.6 and no way to update. Everything is setup for updates--WiFi, auto update, and scheduling. When in the vehicle it says everything is up to date.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Bring it to a dealer and tell them your OTA updates aren’t working. If there is no OTA history then there is a programming issue preventing it. They will probably need to manually update your GWM and TCU, then OTA updates should start to work again.

Not to be disparaging of my dealer, but I gave them a call and they suggested I disengage the battery for 10 minutes and see if that corrects. I intend to do that, but if it doesn't work can you break down those acronyms in case they are not familiar?

Updates are sometimes delivered regionally. I am not sure of Ford's schedule, but being in the bizz, I do know this is how large-scaled updates can be done.

Correct, not all vehicles will get updates at the same time because they roll updates out.

However, being stuck at 1.6.0 is indication of an issue. Every Bronco should be far passed that. I'd be willing to bet it was delivered with 1.6.0 and has never had an update.

I'm in this exact same situation. I have a dealer service scheduled for this Friday and I told them I want the Ford Power-Up Software updated. We will see how this goes.

I haven’t been updated since this:
I have auto updates on and everything looks right. I wish there was a way to know what version you SHOULD be on. I haven’t been updated since February.

Somewhere on B6G someone suggested to set a specific time overnight to check for updates instead of just leaving on automatic updates or trying to manually update. I set mine to check for updates at 2 AM. Can't remember if I set a specific day of the week as well or even if you can do that but for some reason Tuesdays stick in my head. For sure the specific time though.

I wasn't getting them either on my '21 until I did this. Now it is always current within a week.

Thanks so much for this. Maybe I can finally convince someone there's an issue.
