Hi all,
Got my upgraded steering rack for my 22 Bad-Squatch installed about 7k miles ago at a Ford Dealer.
On slight turn of the wheel, I hear this squeak/creak coming from under the skid plate. I assume its the steering rack gear (SKU M3200WT). This is not the tires on the pavement.
However, on removal of the skid plate, the noise seems to disappear? Could a skid plate be rubbing somewhere on the rack itself causing this squeak?
My local Ford Dealer (who didn't do the install) wants $220 to diagnose and said if the previous dealer did the install wrong, they will not warranty it! Anything suggestions or thoughts?
Otherwise, 2.3L bronco is driving great!
