We ran a fun trail Saturday called Sandlick Rd. For the most it’s an easy trail it’s the back way into Hollerwood offroad park in KY. We ran it back to almost the little widow maker trail then turned around and went back. The day before the whole area was flooded due to melting snow and hard rains. The Red river was still way above flood stage but many of the smaller creeks and rivers running into it were manageable. It was a lot of fun felt like we were white water rafting a few times. Wheeling over all the little white caps was just too cool.
Wildcat Tammy almost flopped her 2 door bronco taking a harder line down a little ledge under the water. Those 2 door Broncos sure bring the pucker factor. When she went over the final break over her suspension was maxed out plus her passenger side lower A -arm was resting on the rock some, she wasn’t going anywhere.
If you don’t want to watch the whole video scrub to around the 6min mark to see the situation.
Overall it was really fun day at Red River Gorge we ran Sandlick, Fixer, New Virginia and Hidden Lake. On the way to hidden lake we had to clear a fallen tree. The whole day was a great adventure.
