That honeycombing is warrantable, the bubbling is strange. Just make sure you inspect any replacement parts they order. The hardtop that came in for me were all scratched up and had honeycombing. Told the dealer not to bother even taking it out of the crate.

Look at this, I don’t even know what it is. It looks like bubbles, but it’s rock hard.

With all that snake skinning in those pictures it's no wonder there is bubbling also !
That's a bad bad top.

Hi there Chris. This hardtop concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation". I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

As of now Ford is saying that this was caused by a heat source and not coverable by warranty. This is preposterous. This thing spends its life under a tree with no reflective surfaces and in a parking garage. Also, it’s winter time. It’s so ridiculous that even the dealer is going up the ladder at ford corporate. Ford should be ashamed of themselves.
I have faith Ford will ultimately do the right thing, however I have no problem spending 3x what the top is worth getting a lawyer to force them to do what’s right.

I would just like to add, if this was caused by an outside heat source, the only explanation would be refractory heat from a building. None of my habits have changed, and none of my other vehicles have suffered this problem. This would literally mean Ford has sold me a vehicle that is not capable of being in outdoor settings that involve a combination of the sun, and buildings. Think about that for a minute.

That's just plain dumb.

You give me 2x what the top is worth and I will get them to replace it. Guaranteed. No questions asked.

*Vehicle must be kept indoors at all times, and out of direct sunlight.

Hmm, that looks too localized to be any type of natural or typical heat source available to the public. It seems more likely some chemical reaction, possibly due to a problem at the factory during the manufacture of the top, or in transportation. Also that it affect two panels and there is a continuation line across them. It's suspicious, but couldn't have been external heat.

So after some back and forth, and multiple photo sessions they had a Factory rep come out and look at it in person. They are now fully replacing all affected roof panels under warranty.
My service rep Craig from Tom’s Ford in Keyport NJ was excellent and I don’t think it would’ve happened without him.

Glad to hear they are standing behind it now...should have done that the first time you took it in though.
