What kind of modification needed to install 7.3L Megazilla crate engine my 2 door Bronco?

I think one of the biggest reasons was due to the electronics. Swapping an engine in physically is one thing, but getting all the engine/trans electronics to play nice with the BCMs and all the other tech is the issue.

This ^ trying to get everything to work properly is the big issue. One of the mustang forums I am on has a guy swapping engines from a 2012 into 2007. In his own words summing it up - it's no longer an engine swap but a body swap due to rewiring everything and trying to get it all to work.

I would love to see the 7.3 swap work. If it could be done for $20K I’d be willing to write the check. LS swaps will be all the rage in a couple more years.

Uses modular motor bell housing pattern, so there are MT options, both OE and aftermarket. None native to 6G Bronco tho!

They sell a control pack. Your OE engine computer isn't gonna work unless your installing it in a 19-up superduty

One way is to buy a cheap trim level f250 4x4. Pull the body off and set aside. Pull the body off the Bronco. Shorten the f250 frame. Build body mounts. Install bronco body on new frame. Connect wires and stuff.
Done. Add $$$$$$

They don’t offer the 7.3L in the cheaper XL trucks, so you have to cut up an STX.

Engine, new transmission, new transfer case, new front and rear diffs & axles, bigger brakes, new suspension, New drive shafts, new cooling system. Just the basics.
