Okay.

I have enjoyed a few trucks I have owned but I don't "love" my possessions or let them define me. That is called vanity.
While I may not love my race car I love racing. I can understand that people can say they love their possessions but mean they love the activity that it allows them to enjoy. I can also understand that people can love the look of their vehicles. We see that a lot on these threads.
