I have been looking around the forum for the answer but getting mixed reviews. Does anyone out there running stock badlands ford beadlock wheels have any info on if a 315-70-17 will fit on the spare without much issue or do I need a spacer back there

I believe you can get away with just trimming the bumpers on the tailgate.

It'll fit, just tightly. Sasquatch gives a slightly longer camera housing and a slightly higher third brake light to accommodate for the larger tire, so it won't be perfect, but it'll work!

Theoretically about 15mm should do it. Looks like there's just enough clearance everywhere else, except maybe the bottom the CHMSL could be tight.

Use racquet balls
The 315 tire is about 30mm wider than the factory 285 tire which most likely require the bumpers to be shortened by about 15 mm (a little more than 1/2") with the factory rims.

This will only help you with the brake light. The brake light assembly has accommodations for both style tire carriers, and can be raised or lowered an inch depending on which carrier you have. The carriers have holes drilled to avoid human error I believe, but drilling a couple extra holes will make it dual position for the brake light.

This is from my Badlands non-Squatch, and drilling where the red dots are shown will allow the brake light to be raised 1 inch:

This is a take-off from a Wildtrak - notice the hole/screw locations and the brake light raised up to show the extra fastening locations. I center punched where I will drill when I need the lower brake mount setup:

I swapped my carrier to the Squatch carrier, so I can run 35s and/or zero or even negative offset wheels. Here is my Badlands spare on the Wildtrak carrier, using a 1 1/2" wheel spacer. Remove wheel spacer and boom, ready for other wheels and the camera works all the time since it pokes more.

I plan to run stock wheels/tires in Winter, and other combo of wheels and possibly 35s the rest of the year. Find yourself a Squatch carrier take-off, and all your troubles will be solved!

yeah I think ideally the sas carrier would be the ticket. Not sure those will be very easy at this point to get ahold of but never know

I installed the sasquatch 315-70-17 tires and wheels on my 2 door badlands (replaced the badlands bead lock 285/70/17's).
The spare tire fit fine with no modifications to the bumpers or the spare tire carrier.
The 3rd brake light touches the tire, but it's not stressing anything.

Do you think the tire carrier would still be strong enough up there if you drill the two extra holes in it to move the light up

@ktownsensation Yes I think it will be plenty strong. I believe the only reason they located the holes differently for each size carrier is to avoid production error. The shared light bracket can only be mounted one correct way for each size carrier, so no mistakes on the line.
